Terms & Conditions
We pride ourselves in offering one of the best and most reliable repair services on the internet today and our policies offer all our customers peace of mind that their equipment is safe in our hands. We have a few terms and conditions which you must agree by if you are to use our services. These are outlined below:
The term 'We' and 'Us' refers to Gigafix Ltd / FixMyConsole. The term 'You' refers to you as the customer.
All of our repair work is guaranteed for 4 months (120 Days) or 6 months (180 Days) from the date of invoice poviding the security label has not been removed, replaced or damaged.
All new parts that we fit are covered by a 12 Month (365 Day) guarantee from the date of invoice at the top of your receipt.
The length of your warranty will appear on your invoice, and will be provided in both days and months.
If a console sent to us for a warranty repair has had the security label damaged or appears to have been tampered with, we reserve the right to refuse the warranty, and you will be responsible for a second repair fee, which will be charged at the previous price.
If a console returned for a warranty repair is found to have no faults found with it, we reserve the right to charge a £25 testing and return shipping fee. This is non negotiable.
Until payment is received in full, we reserve the right to withhold your console. If after 60 days of repairing your console payment has still not been received, we are authorised by uk laws to dispose of the console (or do as they see fit) in order to redeem losses.
Repaired consoles are guaranteed against the original fault only. We cannot take responsibility for unrelated faults on the same console or item.
If a repeat fault is found whilst still under warranty, the console will be repaired free of charge. We reserve the right to charge for return postage and packing on consoles repaired under warranty, however this is down to the discression of the duty manager.
Upon sending your console you are agreeing to pay the cost of repair which includes postage prices.
If your console is deemed beyond economical repair, Gigafix Ltd & FixMyConsole reserve the right to charge you £10 labour costs and also a return postage fee of £10.00.
To repair your console we may have to change parts of the casing that display the serial/model number for generic parts that are genuine but unmarked. If you do not want us to do this please let us know in writing.
Consoles must be sent by Recorded Delivery (under £30 value), Parcelforce 48 (over £30 value) or any other courier service which can be traced and give you proof of postage. Consoles lost or damaged in the transit to us are not the responsibility of Gigafix Ltd / FixMyConsole. It is the customers responsibility to make sure they pack their console correctly.
In In the unlikely event that anything is lost in the post it will be the customer that has to claim with the appropriate delivery company and not us. Howevever we will assist with any querys asked to us by the transit company.
We are an independent corporate entity; registered in England & Wales with company number 06707152. We are in no way affiliated with Sony Computer Entertainment, Microsoft or Nintendo, therefore we do not carry out warranty work for any of the aforementioned companies.
Xbox 360 & Playstation 3 Terms & Conditions:
Due to the time and costs involved in repairing Xbox 360 & Playstation 3 consoles, all of our labour charges are strictly NON-REFUNDABLE.
Consoles may be returned to us for repair free of charge providing they have not been tampered with and are accompanied by your original receipt within the 4 or 6 month warranty period. If this happens the customer is responsible for all postage costs. We will not be held responsible for postage costs.
Return postage charges are fixed at £10.00 and are strictly non negotiable.
All consoles will be checked thoroughly before we begin work, if we find they have been tampered with beforehand we will not start any work on them and you will be liable for the return postage costs.
The check box on out online booking system is classed as your digital signature, and your IP address will be recorded for fraud prevention purposes.
By sending your console to us, you are agreeing to these terms and conditions.
